Action Black Myth: Wu Kong is now being developed on Unreal Engine 5

Indie action from Chinese developers Black Myth: Wu Kong impressed almost everyone who saw it last year. After some time, the developers broke the silence, released a new trailer and shared the latest news.

First, Game Science ported the game to UE5. Although the visuals looked impressive even without the latest version of the Epic engine. The 13 minute trailer below shows off a couple of boss fights in a new setting.

In addition, UI elements and icons are visible on the screen, which were more prominent this time around. From the looks of it, Black Myth: Wu Kong's combat will be stamina-based, and the gameplay is a mixture of Souls-like and action games like Devil May Cry.

Along with the new trailer, Nvidia said it is working with Game Science to make the game as efficient as possible for RTX GPUs, and also confirmed that it will feature DLSS support.

The story of Black Myth: Wu Kong is based on the Chinese classic tale Journey to the West. The release date is unknown, and footage was used to convince investors to fund the project.
