Gaijin Entertainment and Darkflow Software announce the release of a major update "Battle of Stalingrad" for the Enlisted online shooter dedicated to World War II. The new campaign uses a new monetization and progression model that allows you to quickly and easily get access to the most interesting samples of weapons and vehicles. In addition, a customization system for soldiers and vehicles, bomber raids, flamethrower tanks, medic squads, legendary snipers and pilots, as well as other new content have been added to the game.
The Battle of Stalingrad was one of the turning points of World War II, and Enlisted carefully reproduces the most iconic objects of the city, such as the headquarters of the German Field Marshal Friedrich Paulus and the Station Square with a fountain, as well as weapons and equipment used by both sides, up to flamethrower tanks. Among the available soldiers are the legendary snipers Vasily Zaitsev and Erwin Koenig, as well as pilots Tatyana Sumarokova and Maria Smirnova from the Night Witches squadron.
The campaign is available for free, although some of its levels are exclusive to owners of the All Access Bundle. By paying for such a set once, the player will receive soldiers and weapons already trained and upgraded to the pre-maximum level, and will be able to quickly advance through the campaign at no additional cost. If you wish, you can pay for cosmetic items for soldiers, such as earflaps, belts, and pouches, to customize their appearance to your taste, while remaining within historical accuracy.
Among the new types of weapons and equipment are such interesting examples as the Hungarian Kiraly submachine gun, the French Potez 633 dive bomber under the Romanian flag, as well as the ampoule launcher that shoots flammable liquid capsules, and the legendary Maxim machine gun of the 1910 model.
Medics are a new class of soldiers in Enlisted. They can both help the wounded right on the battlefield, and distribute first-aid kits to allies so that they can take care of themselves. For all direct and indirect assistance with treatment, doctors receive experience points.
In addition, other Enlisted campaigns ("Battle for Moscow", "Battle for Berlin", "Battle for Tunisia", "Invasion of Normandy") also received new content - new units, weapons, vehicles and missions.
The project is codenamed Half-Life X.
