Fans of the gacha game Genshin Impactare sounding the alarm and expressing their dissatisfaction with the recently released five-star character.
Archer Yoimiya has been on the limited Genshin banner for over a week now. At first, the news about her appearance aroused the delight of gamers: this is due to the incredibly thoughtful design, and the only similar fire archer occupies the last position in the lists of the best characters for many fans of the game. But after the release, the number of complaints about broken mechanics has increased, and players are worried that this trend will continue for future characters.
This is a big problem for a game that some gamers spend hundreds of dollars on. Five-star characters are very rare, and often can only be obtained for short periods of time, after which they are literally hidden from the players for several months. Even if gamers do not invest, they have to spend a lot of time, weeks and months, in order to eventually get their desired hero. And imagine what their disappointment will be from the “bugged” five-star archer?!
Reddit user PartyConfetti has compiled an extensive list of bugs and glitches that plague Yoimiya's gameplay. Among other things, there is the fact that her main attack often misses the target. The strongest attacks of the heroine are hidden in the second half of the combo, but in a game like Genshin Impact, you have to dodge a lot, which means interrupting the combo. Another redditor, Ayatori, called the situation unacceptable, expressing concern that the miHoYo developer did not respond to complaints in any way.
I'm not asking for Yoimiya to become one of the top highest DPS characters in the game. Let her be at C-level, just fix her basic mechanics.
If you go to the social Chinese site Weibo, you can see several thousand indignant gamers. Many of them ask to optimize Xiaogong — this is the name the heroine received in Chinese localization.
Unfortunately, this is not surprising: miHoYo rarely reacts to criticism of its gacha game, although last year, after many complaints, the studio still revised its other hero Jun Li. Perhaps the gaming community will be able to beg for something similar now.
Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have received an unpleasant surprise: the releases of two key films, Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, have been officially postponed to later dates. Both blockbusters will be delayed by six months compared to the previously announced dates.
The film adaptation of the popular horror Until Dawn has finally been released in digital format - exactly one month after its premiere in foreign cinemas. The film, based on the cult game, is now available online thanks to Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions.
