The new part of the Layers of Fears series will be released in early 2023

Bloober Team and Anshar Studios have released a fresh trailer for the new installment in the Layers of Fears series. The project was originally announced last year.

Today, the studios announced that Layers of Fears will be a psychological horror chronicle built on the foundations of the original Layers of Fear, Layers of Fear: Inheritance and Layers of Fear 2. The psychedelic experience that fans know and love will be diluted with an extended storyline and new gameplay aspects. The game is created on the Unreal Engine 5.

Layers of Fears will release simultaneously on PC (Steam and the Epic Game Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in early 2023. Take a look at the official trailer, which details the updated graphics, gameplay and setting for the new chapter of this story.

We are bringing back a franchise that is truly special to us, giving it a new form, offering players a truly fresh gaming experience and a different perspective on this story. We were planning to re-release the games, but we didn't want to do the usual collection of two remasters. Instead, we have developed a new approach that may not yet be so obvious. But I can say one thing: there is a reason why we called the game "Layers of Fear".
