Twitch in Russia fined 2 million rubles

The Moscow Tagansky court fined the streaming service Twitch for 2 million rubles. The reason for imposing a fine was the refusal of the administration of the resource to localize the data of Russian users, which is stipulated in the updated version of the legislation of the Russian Federation.

Note that the law on the storage of user data of Russians applies to all foreign companies that intend to operate in the country. In particular, such giants as Apple, LG and Microsoft observe it, although most of them have already announced their withdrawal from the market.

Note that Twitch is the most popular streaming service, cooperating with which broadcasters receive payment for subscribers. Unfortunately, in the light of recent events, gamers from Russia are deprived of the opportunity to monetize their content.
