The moment when you realize you've figured out what you've found a reference to is like nothing else, and players often share their discoveries online and discuss them with others. We've collected the most interesting Easter eggs for you!
This list covers all the Easter eggs in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. We'll also explain where or how to find them and what they mean. Knowing these references will make the game even more fun when you come across them during the game.
ALL THE GAME'S EASTER EGGS
Here's a list of all the Easter eggs in Stalker 2 before we go into more detail about each one:
A reference to the Call of Duty campaigns
On the top floor of the Polissya Hotel in Pripyat in STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, you can find an M701 sniper rifle on a table with overlooking the window. Most players will simply grab the trophy and move on. However, those who played 2007's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will recognize this location as a reference to the mission "All Dressed Up." In that mission, Lieutenant John Price and Captain MacMillan infiltrate the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone for an assassination attempt. The duo set up a sniper observation post on the top floor of the Polissya Hotel, the same building where the sniper rifle is located in STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
A Reference to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
As you move along the right side of the swamp area in the Zone, you'll come across a strange tree with a vintage car stuck between its two trunks. It may seem normal for this unforgiving environment, but Harry Potter fans will recognize it as a reference to a scene from the 2002 film Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
In the film, Ron stole his parents' magical flying car, and while heading to Hogwarts, the car crashed into a Blast Elm, a tree with a bad temper. In the game, the tree in the swamp zone has no magical properties and is not hostile, so players can go up to it and inspect the car.
Bonfire from Dark Souls
How is it possible that a game whose latest sequel was released in 2018 ended up in the Zone? On the far right side of the burnt forest, near the dam, you will find a lit bonfire with a sword stuck in it. This is a reference to Dark Souls, where the bonfire serves as a symbol of the game.
In STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, this bonfire not only reminds you of this series, but also gives you the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beauty of a nuclear fall.
Reference to the movie "Back to the Future III" (Burning Rails)
You can encounter tracks that burn endlessly in the area of the SKD assembly building. This is a reference to the movie "Back to the Future III", where, at the climax, the rails catch fire in an attempt to speed up the time machine.
GeForce RTX graphics card in NICHAAZ
Inside the SIRCAA building, in the west of the Zaton region, attentive players will find a modern artifact - a GeForce RTX graphics card.
To find it, you need to enter the building, turn right and go straight to the entrance B2, then move along the left row of tables to the penultimate table, where the card is among the trash.
The classic main menu from the original Shadow of Chernobyl
In Heart of Chornobyl, you can find a tribute to the main menu of the first game in the series. In the upper left corner near the Red Fortress, you will find a ruined brick wall with a number of items and loot arranged to replicate the design of the main menu from Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl.
Classic art from the original Shadow of Chernobyl game
Fans of the series may recognize an image in one location in the Zone that reproduces one of the promotional arts of the original game, Shadow of Chernobyl. This place is located in the Lesser Zone, near the Baptist Hill, and looks exactly like the scene from the artwork of the first game.
Leap of Faith from Assassin’s Creed
The Leap of Faith from Assassin’s Creed can be repeated in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Climb the highest building in Azimuth, and find a wooden board with yellow paint.
Jumping from it will land you in the hay without taking any damage, which is a reference to the famous mechanic from the Assassin's Creed series.
Cossacks 3 game mat
If you look inside STC Malachite, you can find mats with the image of the game Cossacks 3, which was also developed by GSC Game World.
Card with a map of Chernarus and Livonia from DayZ
Inside STC Malachite, you will find a card with a map of Chernarus from DayZ, which is a small but significant reference to another popular survival game.
Half-Life reference and Gordon Freeman
While northwest of Restok Depot in Rostock, you will come across a crashed helicopter, next to which lies a skeleton with glasses and a red crowbar - a clear reference to the character Gordon Freeman from the Half-Life series.
The action game also received a content update.
