From October of this year, there will be a dramatic change in the composition of Xbox Gold: gamers will no longer receive games for the Xbox 360.
In an email sent to subscribers, Microsoft explains this by saying that the company is currently “reaching [its] capacity” to add new Xbox 360 games to the service. On the other hand, we will continue to receive a monthly selection of Xbox games one. In addition, you will still be able to redownload any Xbox 360 games that you have previously "claimed" your rights to.
As of October 1, 2022, monthly games provided to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Live Gold subscribers through Games with Gold will no longer include Xbox 360 games.
We've reached the limit of our ability to be included in the Xbox 360 game catalog, but Games Gold will continue to feature exciting Xbox One titles and monthly exclusive discounts.
This will not affect any Xbox 360 games you download before October 2022. Any Xbox 360 games you have activated through Games with Gold so far will remain in your Xbox account whether or not you renew your subscription. Thanks for staying with us.
