The Walking Dead Live Game Launched on Facebook

The next game in the world of The Walking Dead called Last Mile has appeared on Facebook. The project is known as MILE or Massively Interactive Live Event. The game was released as part of an ongoing collaboration between event company Genvid and the scripting team working on the series at Skybound Entertainment. The prologue started yesterday, July 11, 2022.

Genvid CEO Jacob Navok stated the following:

It's the next big installment in the Walking Dead franchise and will be driven by fan choice. You influence the ever-evolving Alaskan coastal community through live play with story content available daily and interactive livestreams hosted by Yvette Nicole Brown and Felicia Day.

The story of The Last Mile will unfold over the next few months, and the direction of its development will depend entirely on the decisions made by the players. Gamers can create their own player and participate in various mini-games and interactive streams, during which they accumulate influence points, a currency that can be spent on collective choices that affect the narrative. Weekly, developers will take stock and reveal the decisions that gamers have made.

However, the biggest tests will begin at the end of the prologue, which will happen at the end of August this year. There are currently three chapters planned for The Last Mile, each lasting exactly one month.

The events of The Last Mile take place in the town of Prosper Landing in Alaska. Since the characters are divided between the city itself and the nearby power plant, players will have to join forces and try to survive the lack of resources and constant raiding raids.

According to Genvid, in 1-2 hours of game time, you will be able to "accumulate enough influence points to influence key, turning points during each week."
