So far, a little more than 14% of the shares have been transferred to the new owners.
Sony bought part of the studio that created Dark Souls

Information has appeared on the network that Sony has acquired a 14.1% stake in FromSoftware, which you may know from projects such as Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Elden Ring and Sekiro: Shadow Die Twice. This is the second such operation - earlier Sony had already bought a certain part of the studio, but then the share of shares did not even reach 2%.

In addition, a part of the shares of FromSoftware was also acquired by the Chinese holding Tencent, its share amounted to 16.3% of the shares. Apparently, entrepreneurs from the Celestial Empire do not want to lag behind their competitors from Japan in terms of developing the gaming industry and getting the proper income from this.

At the moment, the main shareholder of the studio is the Japanese conglomerate Kadokawa Corporation, but it is noteworthy that the Chinese Tencent also bought its shares (their share is 7%).
