Prologue by PlayerUnknown will be distributed via pay-what-you-want

“Pay what you want” is the name of the system invented by the creator of PUBG for his new game
Prologue by PlayerUnknown will be distributed via pay-what-you-want

In addition to testing Prologue's new pay-what-you-want technology, the game will throw you into an endless desert where the main danger is unforgiving weather. Brendan PlayerUnknown Green, who recently left PUBG development studio Krafton, spoke a bit about his plans for PlayerUnknown Productions' first project.

In a video posted recently, Brendan provided more information about Prologue. The development of Prologue began in 2019 and was the first step towards how Green envisions huge open game worlds where thousands of gamers can collide. It will be a kind of test bed where his studio will test the new technology.

Prologue will be the first project to test the next generation of machine learning. Once in an open world generated on the go, you will be tasked with reaching a set point on the map, collecting resources and surviving dangerous weather conditions.

There will be no guidance, no clear route for you to follow. Just the world, some place on the map to get to, and the tools needed to get there.

Given that Prologue's gameplay is based on world generation, Green described his new title as more of a "tech demo" than a game. Prologue will also be distributed on a pay-what-you-want model, meaning you can play it for free or donate as much as you want to the studio.
