Despite this, the series will continue to develop.
EA didn't get what it wanted with Battlefield V and 2042

Representatives of the Electronic Arts company admitted that with the release and development of the Battlefield V and 2042 projects, the company did not achieve the goals that it set for itself. The games turned out to be a failure, but this does not mean that the title will wither away - it will continue its development in the coming years.

EA director Andrew Wilson compared Battlefield to the Star Wars franchise, which in the right hands has huge potential. The developers have set themselves ambitious goals and learned valuable lessons from previous releases. Now at the helm of the series, according to Mr. Wilson, there are just such people who will reveal all the positive aspects of this project.

Recall that Battlefield V and 2042 at the output received a lot of criticism from authoritative publications and ordinary players. The games were scolded for poor technical condition, a small amount of content and controversial decisions in terms of the distribution model, which resulted in negative ratings.
