An interesting bug happened in Overwatch 2 , which cost some players a tidy sum of real money. They were spent as a result of a funny error that appeared if the user chatted with friends while exploring the assortment of the in-game store.
For some reason, the Overwatch 2 game client was misinterpreting regular messages from gamers and could automatically purchase an item for them. Blizzard, of course, has already responded to complaints and promised to quickly fix the bug. However, the point is that no one will return the funds already spent as a result of the bug: apparently, the developers simply will not be able to determine which purchase was made by mistake and which was not.
