Console gaming has never been full of different graphical settings, but it seems that things have changed a little with the advent of PS5 and Xbox Series X. At first, gamers began to choose between high image and frame rates, and now, in the case of Call of Duty: Vanguard , the field of view (FOV) setting is available on both PC and current generation consoles.
Senior Development Director Adam Iscove of Sledgehammer Games shared a screenshot from the game that shows Vanguard's graphical settings. The FOV setting immediately catches your eye, which can take a value from 60 to 120, which significantly expands the boundaries of your view. In response to Adam's post, Community Development Manager Sam Leichthamer confirmed that this tweak will be available on consoles as well. While he didn't specify which consoles he's talking about, it's likely the option is only compatible with PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Looks like Vaguard has other bells and whistles up its sleeve that have become available with the release of new consoles. The above screenshot also features world and weapon blur, depth of field (related to FOV), and custom texture streaming.
