According to Valve insider Tyler McVicker, the newly registered Neon Prime brand is a brand new sci-fi game set in the Dota 2 universe. Previous rumors linked the project to the new shooter Half-Life: Citadel.
According to reports, Neon Prime is being developed by Dota 2's chief game designer, Icefrog, whose true identity remains a mystery. The events of the title will send players to the alternate universes of Continuum and Luna Ultoria, while we are not talking about a first-person shooter.
Valve itself does not comment on the rumors.
The project is codenamed Half-Life X.
