Russia will create a domestic game engine. It is not yet known who it will be.

The Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation proposes to launch a program to support the development of domestic games. Statement from the head of the ministry Maksut Shadayev:

This is a separate task of the state - not only to create technologies, but also to make the content in demand available. Gamedev is one of the industries that has suffered the most in the current situation. Of course, the state will take certain steps here. <...> Here, too, we propose to launch a program to support and develop domestic games.

The head of the Ministry said that there is already a company that will develop the Russian game engine. The name of the company and more details are not disclosed.
