Ed Boon reveals when to expect Mortal Kombat 12 release

Ed Boon, head of the development of the Mortal Kombat fighting game series, who works at the Nether Realm studio, announced when to expect the release of the next 12th part of the franchise. According to him, the events will take place already in 2023, while a full-fledged announcement can be seen in the next six months.

At the moment, the company has moved away from the schedule of releasing a new game every 2 years. The reason for this is not only the pandemic, but also many other factors that prompted developers to reconsider their working strategy.

As for the development of the Injustice universe, it is also in the plans. The next third part of the universe will no doubt see the light, but this will take place after the release of Mortal Kombat 12.
