Fortnite developers ordered to pay compensation in two lawsuits

Epic Games has been ordered to pay substantial monetary damages in two lawsuits filed by several Canadian families. The cases noted that the defendants are accused of deliberately creating Fortnite , which is addictive for underage players.

True, the court ruled that EG was not guilty of this, but that it disclosed the personal data of children, and also encouraged them to make in-game purchases. The fledgling minds simply couldn't resist the urge and purchased digital cosmetics, emptying their parents' credit cards.

The total award for the two claims was $520 million.
