"Avatar: The Path of Water" ranked seventh in the TOP of the highest grossing projects in the history of cinema

Avatar: The Way of Water was the seventh highest-grossing film of all time. To date, James Cameron's film has grossed $1.7 billion - $517 million in the US and the rest in international box office.

In sixth position is the blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home ($1.91 billion). Five films have crossed the two billion mark: Avengers: Infinity War ($2.04 billion), Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.069 billion), Titanic ($2.2 billion), Avengers: Endgame ($2.04 billion). 79 billion) and the original Avatar ($2.9 billion).

If The Way of the Water sequel crosses the 2 billion mark, then James Cameron will become the first director in history with two projects to do so. It is worth noting that the sequel itself has already paid off and began to make a profit.
