Deathloop is set to release tomorrow [and we're working on a game review right now], and to further prepare you for what to expect from the project, Arkane Lyon has shared a brand new video.
The protagonist of the game is an amnesiac Colt, who is trying to shut down the EON program and leave Black Reef Island. You have to solve all the mysteries, get out of the predicament and make sure that his opponent, Julianna, does not kill Colt before he manages to escape.
At first, Black Reef was an isolated fishing colony, but the anomaly caught the attention of the military and, eventually, the founders of the EON project appeared. These people and their followers banded together to use the anomaly to create a time loop that would allow them to live forever. Over time, this led to the development of amnesia among the locals, and it is in this state that we find Colt at the beginning of the game. Waking up, he gradually restores his memory, and help comes literally from nowhere - in the form of prompts popping up on the screen, as well as messages and calls from Julianne.
Deathloop will release on PC and PlayStation 5 tomorrow, September 14th.
