The military first-person shooter from DICE Battlefield 2042 has been officially delayed until November 19 this year. The company's general manager Oscar Gabrielson stated:
Building Next-Gen Battlefield during a pandemic comes with unforeseen challenges for our developers. Given the scale and scope of the game, we hoped that as we moved towards release, our teams would be able to come together. Given the current conditions that do not allow for a safe environment for this kind of work, and with teams working from home, we felt that additional time was needed to ultimately show players our vision for Battlefield 2042.
Initially, the release of Battlefield 2042 was scheduled for October 28, but has now been postponed for 4 weeks. Despite the delayed release, the game is still set to release worldwide simultaneously on all platforms. EA said it will soon share new details about the previously announced beta test.
