Starting this year, Remedy plans to release one new game every year.

Remedy released its 2022 activity report today. The company shared plans for the next year. CEO Tero Virtala said that Alan Wake 2 is playable from start to finish and will be completed soon.

“Alan Wake 2 is in full production. Soon the game will have all the content, and it will be playable from start to finish. Then we will start refining the game. Alan Wake is a unique brand that is of great value to the company today. Alan Wake Remastered has yet to earn any royalties. However, we expect sales to pick up as we get closer to Alan Wake 2, as fans and new players want to experience the original story on next-gen consoles."

In addition to Alan Wake 2, the studio is developing many projects like Control 2:

“Control 2 expands on the story and world of the original Control. We now have detailed concepts for the vision of the game and all creative areas including gameplay, storytelling and art. We are pleased with the work done by the team, and as of January 2023, the game has moved into the proof-of-concept stage.”

Remedy wants to hit the multiplayer service game market:

“Codename Condor is a service game and thus a new type of game for Remedy. We make sure that the core gameplay is solid. We are assembling the right team and production model for the game and are patiently moving forward with development. Together with our partner 505 Games, we saw great potential in Condor. The Condor is still in the concept stage."

“Codename Vanguard is also in proof of concept. In the fall of 2022, we decided to leave the game at the concept stage and postpone a significant expansion of the development team until 2023. The Vanguard team has made progress and continues to work on core gameplay and metagame development, as well as proving the applicability of Remedy-style storytelling and worldbuilding. The development team has been reinforced with some key staff."

In 2022, Remedy has invested in the development of the Northlight engine to develop high-quality games. Compared to 2021, the number of employees has increased.
