Gary Whitta, who was a screenwriter for PC Gamer, said that the adventure project Forspoken initially had a completely different concept. The game, which was coolly received even by critics, might not have been so bad, but Square Enix rejected all the writer's suggestions and decided to do it their own way.
According to the writer, after considering the concept, the company left only the name of the world Atiya from all Witt's ideas. The screenwriter does not specify exactly how the project was presented in his vision, but, most likely, according to the author, if his concept had been accepted, then Forspoken would have turned out much better.
But we have what we have.
