Telltale Games Studio has announced that the release of a new game called The Wolf Among Us 2 will not take place this year, but will happen next year. The main reason for the change in the company's plans was the desire of developers to release a new product on a different engine.
Initially, the sequel to the adventure game about fairy-tale characters in the form of people was developed on UE4, but now the game will be made on the next version of UE5. This will allow to realize more ideas of developers, as well as bring the game picture to a completely different level.
In addition, the company's management does not want to crunch and push their employees just to meet deadlines. Therefore, fans of The Wolf Among Us will have to be patient and wait for the year 2024.
The project is codenamed Half-Life X.
