On November 7, 2021, the first episodes of the Arcana animated series inspired by League of Legends will be released on Netflix.
To celebrate the announcement from Netflix's Tudum Event, Netflix creators and game developers Riot Games have released a new teaser trailer. The animated series itself will appear "in a few hours" after the conclusion of the League of Legends Worlds Final on Tencent in China and the Netflix service.
The TV show is reported to be "divided into three separate acts", each with 3 episodes. The first act will be available on November 7, the second on November 13, and the third on November 20. The first act "focuses on the beginning of the two sisters' journey in life."
Arcane will feature champions familiar to LoL players. These will be the most famous and beloved characters that have been adapted for the TV show, which means they may differ slightly from the images used in the game. Alongside Jinx, V, Jace, and Caitlyn, newcomers to the series will appear, such as Wander and Silko, citizens of Zaun who have played a critical role in shaping the developing world.
The project is codenamed Half-Life X.
