Representatives of Colossal Order, who are currently developing a new part of the city-building simulator Cities Skylines 2, shared fresh details about the game.

In a question and answer session, the developers said that they had started creating a novelty a couple of years ago, and the Unity engine, on which the original part was created, was chosen as the basis for it. True, it will not be possible to transfer user content from them to the sequel, players will have to create all custom models anew.

In addition, the developers clarified that in Cities Skylines 2 you should not expect the appearance of multiplayer, since its implementation would be too laborious. We will be able to test the novelty in the case this year, the authors will name a more exact release date later.
