Apparently, Layers of Fear 3 will be released in 2022

The recently released trailer from the Bloober Team hints at the new part of the horror horror Layers of Fear , which, in theory, will be released as early as next year, 2022.

The revealingly titled teaser trailer (Layers of Fear Teaser Trailer) is filmed from the point of view of an artist who appears to be arguing with the disembodied voice of his… ghostly wife? The most important line from the trailer marked "2022" is scratched into the final card in the final seconds:

Your fears will return.

We don't know much about this project with an as-yet-unknown title. It is being created on Unreal Engine 5 and will most likely be released on PC and consoles of the current and next generations. That game could be Layers of Fear 3, or even some kind of reboot of the series, or maybe a spin-off or something else.

Back in July, Bloober Team marketing director Tomasz Gawlikowski confirmed that the studio was actively working on two new games. One of them is a reworked version of an old project, codenamed Black, and the other is hidden under a veil of secrecy. Bloober previously worked on a game codenamed Dum Spiro, but the project never entered active development this summer. One thing we know for sure is that both new projects of the studio are “larger in volume than The Medium”.

And recently, Bloober Team and Konami announced a partnership agreement that will cover both new and existing IPs. Since Layers of Fear is owned by Bloober itself and there is no word about Konami in the trailer, it means that this will be another internal game of the studio.
