Survival State of Decay 2 received an update called Heart Attack, the main feature of which was innovations in the horde mode. Now the crowds of zombies will behave differently, creating much more problems for players.

Plague hearts that generate monsters are initially dormant, but once the player begins to exterminate the monsters in the area, they are activated. The generated creatures will begin to build outposts around the player's base, begin to accumulate strength, and then go to storm the hero's base. It will be possible to protect against them by strengthening your own outposts and setting traps.
