Ubisoft unveils free-to-play battle royale Ghost Recon Frontline

Ubisoft has announced the battle royale Ghost Recon Frontline , which will be distributed as a shareware model and will be another game with numerous updates, seasons and tactical mechanics.

This multiplayer PvP title is being created by Ubisoft Bucharest. The developers have been working on the game for the past three years, and it will be a separate spin-off of the Ghost Recon series. The project will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X, PC and previous generation consoles, and on release it will include two game modes - "Expeditions", in which players are divided into teams of 3 people and fight against each other (the total number of gamers can reach 102 people ) on a 4x4 km map (Drakemoor Island) and "Control" in 9 vs 9 format with respawns and shorter duration.

According to the developers, "Expeditions" is the flagship mode of Frontline, in which gamers hunt for information about Drakemoor Island before requesting an evacuation, and the average duration of battles will reach about 20 minutes. When you request an evacuation, all other players will be notified of your desire to leave the map (realizing that you have collected the data they need), resulting in a short dynamic and intense segment with a two-minute firefight, which is an alternative to the narrowing circle of death.

Ghost Recon Frontline doesn't even have a tentative release date, although it's known that a closed beta test for Europeans on PC will start on Thursday, October 14th. On other platforms, the beta test will take place later.
