In almost all reviews, the pros and cons highlighted by the authors coincide. In general, Far Cry 6 was rated well, but at the same time they note old problems associated with too much familiar content, weak opponents, and so on. On the other hand, a wide variety of content, on the contrary, should justify the high cost of modern AAA titles. And some reviewers noted the impressive atmosphere of the game. Among the shortcomings are gameplay elements that are reminiscent of previous games in the series.
Critics were not pleased with the storyline, in which the main role was played by actor Giancarlo Esposito. To many of them, the development of history seemed painfully predictable.
