The developers of the fighting game Tekken 8 were afraid of competition with another studio, and therefore it was decided to postpone the release of the game. Initially, the project was supposed to be released in the summer of this year, but then there were changes in the schedule.
According to series producer Katsuhiro Harada, the creators prepared Tekken 8 for release, but then the team expressed concerns due to the coincidence of sales dates with some other game. We are probably talking about the fighting game Street Fighter 6 from Konami, which also has a very impressive fan base. Not wanting to take risks, the authors decided that it would be better not to rush and release the title in January 2024.
In addition, the additional time will allow the Tekken 8 developers to test their project longer and eliminate as many problems as possible.
