The film "Marvel" is recognized as the most disastrous in the history of the MCU cinematic universe

After more than a month in theaters, the Marvel movie may be calling it a day for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, facing poor commercial performance. This phenomenon is being assessed as a major threat to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which has proven itself to be a beloved franchise for many over the past decade and a half. However, in the post-pandemic era, audience interest in superheroes seems to have waned.

Not only did Marvel have its lowest opening in the MCU's 15-year history (even lower than the first Incredible Hulk), but it will also become the first MCU film to open in the US with a gross of less than $100 million. Previously, similar numbers were achieved in the first weekend. Currently, domestic box office totals are only $83 million, while foreign box office totals have stood at around $120 million. Marvel's total global box office totals $202 million.
