Director Zhora Kryzhovnikov and screenwriter Andrei Zolotarev announced the postponement of the premiere of the eighth episode of the crime drama “The Boy’s Word. Blood on the Asphalt.” Originally scheduled for December 21, the episode was delayed to allow for reshoots of the ending. The creators expressed a desire to make the ending more exciting, emotional and intense. Changes were also made to the seventh series, but they turned out to be less significant. The decision to reshoot has nothing to do with the recent leak of two episodes online.
"The Boy's Word. Blood on the Asphalt" tells about youth groups in Kazan in the late 1980s, based on materials from the book "The Boy's Word. Criminal Tatarstan of the 1970s-2010s" by Robert Garayev. The first episode premiered on November 9, and since then the show has quickly gained popularity in Russia, being included in the top 5 best TV series on the Kinopoisk website in December.
