Blizzard Entertainment has published a roadmap for World of Warcraft updates for 2024. The developers' plans include several major updates, in parallel with testing of The War Within add-on.
The alpha test of the add-on is scheduled for early spring 2024. Season 4 also kicks off at this time with new open world rewards, a PvP season, a Mythic season, and updated raids.
The War Within beta test is scheduled for early summer, and shortly after its launch, a pre-patch will arrive with pre-expansion world events and updates to the guild system.
The official release of The War Within expansion is scheduled for fall 2024. By the end of the year, the developers also plan to release another major content update related to the 20th anniversary of World of Warcraft.
In addition, the roadmap for World of Warcraft classic servers has been published. Cataclysm Add-on: ??Deadwing is preparing to launch on classic servers in the summer of 2024, the prepatch will start in the spring. Similar to the original release, Cataclysm content will be rolled out in stages, with players receiving two updates with additional content in the fall.
