Bloomberg reports that Apple plans to launch a separate version of its App Store for European users.
The reason for this decision lies in European legislation, namely the Digital Markets Act. According to it, software companies must provide customers with the opportunity to download content from third-party sources. Thus, Apple will give people a choice in terms of where to download software and games from.
The act itself comes into effect on March 7 this year, so the App Store launch should happen a little earlier than that.
