The management of Riot Games is planning to lay off more than 10% of its employees, this is due to the strategy of reducing the costs of production and support for current and new projects.
In a statement, representatives of the organization sadly noted the need for such a step. For a long time the decision was postponed, but now the brand should clearly focus on the plans already in place. Previously, Riot Games expanded uncontrollably, because of which costs multiplied, but it can not continue like this.
A total of 530 people will be laid off. Most of the cuts will affect the Riot Forge division and the Legends of Runeterra team, whose performance was below expectations. Priority will be given to League of Legends, Valorant, Teamfight Tactics and Wild Rift.
