Film company Lionsgate has decided on the director of the future film adaptation of the manga "Naruto".
The project will be directed by Destin Cretton, who previously noted in the creation of a film adaptation of the comic book "Shang-Chi". Masashi Kishimoto, who is the creator of the original manga, has already endorsed the candidacy of Cretton, saying that no one better than him can cope with the creation of emotional drama in the legendary universe.
In addition, Cretton will also co-write the script, and the direct development of the screen adaptation will be handled by the team of Arad Productions (previously worked on the screen adaptation of Borderlands). No release date has been announced yet.
