EA and Cliffhanger Games have published an announcement on their websites about the search for a new specialist to work on the Black Panther game. And in the description of this vacancy it is indicated that the project will have a large open world.
Very little is known about the game itself. From the available information it becomes clear only the presence of the project, its development is being conducted by a team led by Kevin Stevens, ex-head of Monolith Productions, the creators of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. It's also confirmed that the game will not be connected to the project about Captain America, set in the 40s. However, as VGC points out, the announcement of Cliffhanger Games' search for a lead sandbox designer hints at the creation of an open-world game.
The candidate will work with the design manager, where the senior technical sandbox designer will be key in developing a dynamic, evolving game world.
