Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 3 midseason update release date has been announced

Activision has announced a midseason update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 3 that will add new content including maps, modes and weapons.

The update will be available on May 1 at 7:00 p.m. Moscow time.

Here's what's included in the new items:

• New modes for MW3: Minefield and Escort.
  
• Two new maps for MW3: Grime (6 by 6) and Checkpoint (6 by 6, section from Warzone map).
• An arcade playlist for multiplayer with modifiers such as unlimited ammo and grenades, as well as ultra-powerful weapons.
• Field upgrades in the form of Enhanced Vision Goggles to help spot enemies.
• Tactical gear: EMD Mine.
• Utility Box for Warzone, combining ammo and body armor.
• Changing the time of day on the map Renaissance Island.
• New weapon: BAL-27 assault rifle from Advanced Warfare.

Call of Duty is available on PC and consoles of current and previous generations.
