Marvel's Wolverine will be Insomniac Games' next release

Insomniac Games has confirmed that their next project will be a Marvel's Wolverine game. In 2023, the studio achieved significant success with the release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, which was well received by players and sold over 10 million copies for PS5. Not resting on their laurels, the Insomniac Games team has already started work on their ambitious new project. Studio representatives announced on social media that the next major release will be Marvel's Wolverine.

The studio emphasized that Marvel's Wolverine is their top priority. Most of the staff, including some of the developers from Marvel's Spider-Man 2, are actively working on that game. This statement refutes an earlier leak about Insomniac Games' plans, which mentioned a Venom spin-off and other projects. According to the leak, Marvel's Wolverine wasn't supposed to be released until 2026 after the Venom game, but now it looks like plans have changed. The studio intends to release Marvel's Wolverine quickly and has no plans to get distracted by other projects.

Interestingly, Insomniac Games announced Marvel's Wolverine before the summer premieres, which could indicate a possible showing of the game at one of Sony's upcoming events, the first of which is scheduled for later this month.
