YouTube has introduced a new method to combat ad blockers: videos with ad-blocking extensions enabled will automatically scroll to the end.
Many users thought this was a glitch, but according to Wccftech, it's an intentional limitation from YouTube's developers.
The problem occurs when trying to play or rewind a video — the clip instantly scrolls to the end, and in some cases loads endlessly.
While the problem has been observed with many popular ad blockers.
This is not YouTube's first attempt to fight ad blockers: in November 2023, developers began artificially slowing down the site in browsers with extensions enabled.
