Herman Hulst, the head of Sony Interactive Entertainment, has officially confirmed that the company will continue to release its games on PC. He said that Sony will stick to its current strategy of making PlayStation games available on PCs.
Hulst said that the company is looking to expand the PlayStation brand beyond its own consoles, but is keeping PS5 sales in mind. Releasing the games on PC should not only bring in additional revenue, but also attract new PS5 players who will want to continue their familiarity with the franchise on the console. Those who would rather stay on PC will get access to the game at a later date.
Hulst also confirmed that all of Sony's service games will be released simultaneously on PC and PS5.
