In Russia, pirate sites have been blocked faster than before

Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has signed a new document with amendments to the Federal Law On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection, thanks to which pirate sites in the Russian Federation will now be blocked faster than before.

Previously, the state regulator took about a week to do this, but now the maximum period of sanctions is limited to two days. The block on the resource will be imposed directly by Roskomnadzor, at the same time, representatives of the structure will not need to coordinate their decision with the Ministry of Finance.

In addition, search engines are now also prohibited from displaying information related to mirrors and sites containing pirated content.
