A Shrek spin-off about Donkey is in development

A new movie related to the Shrek cartoon is in the works and will focus on the character of Donkey. Eddie Murphy, who will return to voice the character, has announced this. However, work on the movie will begin only after the release of the fifth part of "Shrek", which is scheduled for 2025.
