Members of the Screen Actors Guild have announced a strike against American gaming companies. Pickets are being held across the country amid the refusal of developers to discuss new terms of cooperation with actors.
The stumbling block was the widespread use of AI in game creation. With the help of machines, studio executives began to voice characters and, in general, create them, which the actors did not like very much. The latter, accordingly, demand to regulate and limit the use of AI in the gaming industry, as well as receive higher salaries.
There is no time frame for the strikes; work in many offices where the voice acting of characters was recorded has already been stopped.
