The Metro Awakening shooter will be released in November 2024. At the State of Play event, Sony took a few minutes to present new projects for PlayStation VR2, among which was a new part of the famous Metro series.
Metro Awakening will be one of the most ambitious projects for VR headsets. In a fresh trailer that was demonstrated at the event, the developers revealed not only the key moments of the gameplay, but also announced the release date. Fans of the universe will not have to wait long.
This spin-off of the cult post-apocalyptic series is being developed by Vertigo Games. The plot centers on the story of a doctor who goes in search of his wife and the necessary medicine on which her life depends.
The game is scheduled for release on November 7, 2024. The project will be available on PS5 and PC, and will also support several popular virtual reality platforms, including PSVR2, Meta Quest and devices with Steam VR support.
The action game also received a content update.
