CD Projekt RED has summed up the results of the contest for the best modifications for The Witcher 3, created in REDkit, where fans could implement their ideas in the game. Winners and finalists were selected from among the participants, who were awarded memorable prizes.
The first place went to the modification A Witcher Can Hide Another, which introduces a new storyline. Geralt falls into a trap, and a new witcher is sent to look for him. Players will have to follow the trail of the elves, leading to a unique mountain location.
In second place is Tales of The Witcher, a mod that serves as a prequel to the books by Andrzej Sapkowski. In it, Geralt goes to Cintra to complete a series of contracts.
The third place was taken by the modification Echoes of Play. Geralt finds himself in worlds where reality is intertwined with illusions. The first quest takes him to a place where childhood memories reign, hiding dark secrets. In the second quest, Geralt will have to face his own fears and the hardships of the past.
The project is codenamed Half-Life X.
