The authors of PUBG: Battlegrounds sued Apple and Google

The developers of the royal game PUBG: Battlegrounds have filed a lawsuit against Apple and Google, accusing the latter of distributing a product copied from the Krafton product. The GameIndustry portal writes about this, referring to the case materials.

We are talking about the games Free Fire and Free Fire Max, which were developed by Garena. By the way, the last lawsuit has also been prepared, and it was this studio, according to Krafton, that brazenly copied the PUBG gameplay elements. The stores are accused of not taking any measures to remove the controversial project from sale after the appeal of the Appstore and Google Play Market lawyers.

The plaintiff's representatives intend not only to ban the sale and distribution of Free Fire and Free Fire Max (as well as all related content, including YouTube videos), but also to receive substantial monetary compensation. Last year, Garena and the store owners generated a combined profit of $1.1 billion, Krafton says, more than the original battle royale.
