Game insider Tom Henderson has released a fresh video on his YouTube channel, in which he painted the sad prospects for Battlefield 2042 . According to the author, Electronic Arts has no idea what to do with the shooter and in what direction to develop the game (and, in general, whether it is worth developing it).
In the video, Henderson claims that Battlefield 2042 has between 40,000 and 50,000 players at its peak across all platforms. The Hazard Zone mode, which EA initially planned to make free, did not live up to expectations, and therefore Portal may soon open free access. The publisher does not plan to make a completely free shooter, as everyone understands that this will end in a wave of indignation from users who bought the game for full price.
While the franchise owners are trying to figure out what to do with Battlefield 2042, the developers at DICE are actively fixing bugs to improve the quality of the project and reduce the amount of resentment on the network.
