Fantasy battles under Frank Sinatra: the final trailer of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has been released

Impressive, bright and dynamic battles in the trailer of the fantasy spin-off Final Fantasy
Fantasy battles under Frank Sinatra: the final trailer of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has been released

In less than two months, gamers will be able to play Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin and find out which Team Ninja sees the Final Fantasy universe. Despite the fact that only the lazy did not laugh at the announcement of the title during E3 2021, players have reason to be optimistic. At least they never saw a Souls-like FF. Moreover, the game is being developed by the studio responsible for the Nioh series.

In the new five-minute video, you can see some exciting enemies and scenes. Simultaneously with the release of the trailer, fresh details of the game appeared on the PlayStation blog. You can see two enemies in the footage. The first is the Kraken, which uses its long tentacles to take away your buffs, and also attacks with water from time to time. The second enemy is the Lich, which can "cast" curses and, even worse, summon skeletons.

The game will have a system of professions that are similar to combat classes. It looks like there will be a lot of them, but only three were recently introduced: the red mage, the berserker and the samurai. Red mages balance between the attack and support class, since they can use both white and black magic, that is, they are suitable for both attack and healing. Berserker is a bit like a classic "tank" and is suitable for those who prefer two-handed weapons. As for the samurai, this profession is based on agility, restoring MP by attacking opponents.

At first, the trailer shows action scenes and battles, until suddenly Frank Sinatra kicks in, performing one of his best songs. I don't know why the authors decided to use Sinatra. Maybe it doesn't make any sense or matter.

Coming out March 18 on consoles and PC, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is intended to be a retelling of the original 1987 Final Fantasy game. When setting any expectations, don't forget that it's Team Ninja that's making it, not Square Enix itself.
