Times are changing
You will receive this task when the metro opens (often around 8-10 days, although certain story quests may need to be started, to?that would require a visit to US Army Headquarters).
- Talk to Jack at the bar to gather information.
- Go to the subway. You can negotiate with the merchant (using the business option) to get a permanent discount on metro tickets.
- You need to go to the subway stop at the headquarters of the US Army to activate the new part of the quest (during which you need to buy armor-piercing cartridges inside the headquarters).
- You cannot take the subway to the headquarters of the Independents or Freedom West, and then walk to the headquarters of the US Army. This won't work because the next task simply won't activate.
- Enter the army headquarters. This requires light or heavy military armor, and this in turn requires at least 70% reputation with the headquarters of the US Army or the successful / unsuccessful completion of the quest “A Lucrative Task” (Lana) will issue.
- As soon as you get inside, go to the merchant and buy ammo.
Reward : 150 experience points, 2 scrap metal.
side quests
Most side quests can be obtained from the bars of the three outposts (Forest Grave, Freedom East and Freedom West) or the three headquarters (Smugglers, Independents and US Army).
Each bar contains three missions that do not update. You can always take the task from one (st?? standard) and two stars. Three stars (advanced) require at least 60% reputation with a particular faction.
All side work must be completed strictly within the specified time. In addition, to take the task, you have to pay.
Courier (one star)
- Go to the indicated outpost (Forest Grave, Freedom East or Freedom West).
- Talk to the leader/governor of this outpost (Kira, Governor Deniz or Lieutenant Liz) and select the dialogue thread related to the Courier mission.
Deadline: 2 or 3 days (varies).
Job cost: $10.
Reward : 50 experience, $30, +3% reputation of the faction that assigned the quest.
Merchant (one star)
- Go to the indicated outpost (Forest Grave, Freedom East or Freedom West).
- Speak to the Trader at this outpost (Trevor, Bill, or the regular Trader) and select the dialogue option for the "Trader" mission.
Timeframe: 2 or 3 days (varies).
Job cost: $10.
Reward : 50 experience, $30, +3% reputation of the faction that assigned the quest.
Savior (two stars)
Go to the marked scavenger spot (which is usually in the forest between Jack's camp and Forest Grave). In the second encounter, there will be two civilians in this location. To save them, you must either fight the enemies, or bribe them, or use threats.
And then the choice:
- If you fight, you will lose reputation with this faction.
- If you give a bribe, you have a certain chance of success. If everything goes smoothly, then you will save the civilians and complete the mission (without losing reputation with this faction).
- If you threaten, you have a certain chance of success based on one of your stats. If everything goes smoothly, that character will gain 50 experience points (for a successful stat/skill check) and you will save the civilians and complete the mission (without losing reputation with that faction). If you fail the skill check, a fight will start and you will eventually lose reputation with that faction.
Timeframe: 2 or 3 days (varies).
Job cost: $20.
Reward : 100 XP, $50, +3 reputation with the faction that assigned the quest.
Bodyguard (two stars)
- You must take the traveler (Doctor) to one of the outposts.
- Lee??it time for this quest is only 1 day. This means that you will need to immediately go to your destination and meet the specified time. So, if you take this quest in the morning, you will need to go to this place the next evening. If you take this quest in the evening, you will need to go to this place the next morning.
- The Doctor can be really useful in combat because he can use a Healing Stim (usually once every 3 rounds) to heal your warriors. There are also combat stimulants. He can also fire a gun. If you drag out the fight, you can get a health boost, and then clear a lot of garbage locations in the early stages of the game, despite the weakness of the heroes. If you go for it, keep the Doctor behind, eliminate any ranged enemies, and focus on defensive stance to have the Doctor use healing stims every three rounds.
- The doctor might be killed. If he dies, you will end the mission. You can manually heal the Doctor.
- Once you reach your destination, the Doctor will immediately leave and the quest will be completed.
Deadline: 1 day.
Job cost: $20.
Reward : 100 XP, $50 USD, +3 reputation with the faction that assigned the quest.
Destroyer (three stars)
- To take on this quest, you need a reputation of at least 60% (sympathy).
- This quest involves destroying two scavenger or punk camps. Since you don't have relationship levels with scavengers or punks, you don't have to worry about losing reputation.
- Once you accept this quest, two locations will appear randomly. You need to visit these places and defeat all enemies.
- The first fight is always with scavengers or punks.
- In the second fight, each of the locations will have random loot.
- In the third fight in each of the locations there will be 3 scavengers or punks who are behind three barricades. You can kill them with ranged attacks. Or, if you prefer, use melee attacks to break cover first.
Timeframe: 3 or 4 days (varies).
Job cost: $50.
Reward : 200 XP, $100, +5 reputation with the faction that assigned the quest.
Soldier (three stars)
- To take on this part-time job, you need a reputation of at least 60% (sympathy).

Will you lose 3 rep??Tation with the faction you are attacking, but gain 5 reputation points with the faction you are helping.
- Once you accept this quest, a random location will appear. Visit it and kill all enemies.
Timeframe: 3 or 4 days (varies).
Job cost: $50.
Reward : 200 XP, $100, +5 reputation with the faction that assigned the quest.

Character assignments (plot)
Fernando
If you start with Fernando and Sarah, you will get this quest from the very beginning. If you start with Fernando and Tessa, you will first have to complete Tessa's quest.
- Technically, you don't need Fernando to complete the first part of the quest (talking to Trevor), but if you plan to complete this quest on time, you should immediately add the man to your party.
- Go to Forest Grave and talk to Trevor. A cave will appear.
- Together with Fernando, go to the cave. The first encounter is random (it could be a fight or random loot). The next encounter will take you to the cave. Here you can mine ore, but then you will be forced to fight zombies. And then they will be foundWe are Fernando's money.
- You can let Fernando keep his money or demand half. I highly recommend letting him keep the money, because it will increase Fernando's motivation until the end of the game. That is, with each level increase, he will receive 5 points of characteristics! It's worth it to give up a small amount of money early in the game.
Reward : 100 experience points.
Sarah's friend
You will receive this task as soon as Sarah joins Jack's camp.
- First, talk to Sarah at the bar.
- Then you will need to include Sarah in the squad. Perhaps it also needs to include the survivor with whom she came.
- Head southeast to Forest Grave. After going through several locations, you will activate a dialogue with Sarah, and she will show the location with the camp on the map. That's where you need to go.
- There will be three episodes, and at least one battle.
On my first playthrough after the zombie fight (second encounter), in the third encounter, I found the corpse of Sarah's friend. On the body will be an AK-47. You can take the AK-47 or let Sarah bury the body. If you take the AK-47, you will get a good weapon, but Sarah will get angry and will not be able to complete tasks the next day.
During myOn the second playthrough, the second encounter was with a group of scavengers searching the corpse of Sarah's friend (where the AK-47 was also located). You can attack the scavengers or move on. I attacked the scavengers and, after defeating them, I got an AK-47. Sarah wasn't angry this time, but she wasn't happy either (motivated).
If you allow Sarah to bury the body, she will be motivated. If there are other options for getting motivated Sarah, be sure to let me know!
Reward : 100 experience, $20.
Tessa's infection
You will receive this quest once Tessa joins Jack's Camp.
- Talk to Tessa and the other survivor she arrives with at the bar.
- On my first playthrough, I started with Sarah and Fernando. Tessa and Lance arrived around the sixth day and I had enough party members to complete Tessa's quest without incident (even though I did it without Lance). On the second playthrough, I started with Tessa and Fernando. This time, when I was talking at the bar, Trish gave me three first aid kits and Jack offered to accompany me (acting as an ally) for the first two days. After the first few locations, Fernando suggested that I lie to Tessa. I agreed to this, but nothing much happened.
What do you need withto do is to get the Zomdex medicine and use it on Tessa. Several options are available:
- You can buy Zomdex at Freedom East. However, Zomdex is expensive ($80) and will be difficult to obtain early in the game.
- Alternatively, you can go to Freedom West and talk to Lana. She asks you to save her friend in a randomly generated location. If you go to this location, the second encounter will be a "rescue a civilian from another faction" scenario in which you will need to fight, bribe or threaten to save Lana's friend. If you do this successfully and then return to Lana, she will give the Zomdex.
- In Freedom West, if you talk to Ethan, he will give you a Zomdex for the US Army quest. Go to the hospital and get the Zomdex, which you can use on Tessa. In the future, find Zomdex and give Ethan any other. But first heal Tessa.
- You can also try to find Zomdex in random garbage places (the hospitals near Freedom West are the best). But in this situation, you can just go to the hospital in Ethan's quest and look for trash in other places of the hospital after you heal Tessa.
Once you have the Zomdex back in Jack's Camp go to the inventory screen, select Tessa and then left click on the Zomdex to apply the cure.
Reward : 100 XP, $20, Tessa doesn't die, pTherefore, you can use her as a member of a group.
Bunker
You will receive this quest once Lance joins Jack's Camp.
- When you receive this quest, three random locations will spawn in the forest between Jack's Camp and Forest Grave.
- At night, you need to add Lance to the group and explore these locations.
- In two locations there will be just random fights with zombies or other enemies.
- In the third place there will be a patrol of smugglers. You will be given the option to either sneak past them or fight them. If you fight, you will lose 10% reputation with the Smugglers, and Lance will not get angry (but not motivated either). You will also have the option to continue this quest later that evening if you make it to the bunker in time. If you choose to sneak instead, avoid combat and not lose reputation with the Smugglers. However, Lance will get angry and immediately leave your group to return to Jack's Camp, and he will be unavailable for missions the next day. This means that you will be missing one party member for the rest of the evening and will need to wait another night to complete this quest.
- After the smugglers' patrol, a new location will appear north of Freedom West. You need to go to that bunker togetherwith Lance.
- There will be a fight with two waves of enemies in the bunker. There will also be random loot that includes 30 ammo.
Reward : 100 experience.
